Three Character Classic Series
The Three-Character Classic is composed of classic Chinese literatures that were written during the 13th century Song dynasty. These texts are credited to the two well known scholars of its time Wang Ying-Lin and Ou Shi-Zi. The Three Character Classic reflects the popular Confucian teachings and was often used to formally educate young children. The composition of these literatures is a short three-character per line patter for easy memorization and through these texts, people learned and adopted vocabularies, grammars, historical accounts, and Confucian ideals and moralities that are important during that period of Chinese history.
